Our Boston OpenLAB students have been hard at work. The projects displayed above represent work generated from the first two weeks of the semester, during which students analyzed the urban conditions and morphology of Boston’s Greenway through modeling and drawing. These exercises highlight the power of making as a tool for deepening analysis and understanding.
This year’s studio prompt focuses on seven sites along the frayed edges of the Greenway, shaped by the original incision of the Central Artery. Throughout the semester, students will investigate how architecture can serve as a suture—repairing and reconnecting the fragmented urban fabric. We`re looking forward to the next phases of the semester.
