Since joining Payette in November 2005 Peter has worked on projects for Columbia University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Over the course of his professional career several of the projects he has worked on have been recognized for excellence in design, including an AIA Honor Award and two Honor Awards from the Pennsylvania Chapter of the AIA. For six years Peter taught courses in visual studies within the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his B.Arch. from the University of Notre Dame and his M.Arch. from the University of Pennsylvania.
The construction of full-scale mock-ups for undertaking medical simulations is an essential part of our design process.
Our in-house fabrication team, equipped with 3D printers, woodworking tools and CNC milling equipment, facilitates the creation of full-scale mock-ups of complex clinical spaces. We have found that mock-ups of spaces such as patient and operating rooms are invaluable for staff, leadership and other stakeholders to understand all aspects of the space beyond what is just shown in two-dimensional documents.
Visit our most recent blog for more info on our healthcare mockup design process (link in bio!).
