When presented with big questions and big problems, PAYETTE responded by developing software solutions that help inform and enhance decision making. A recent article in Tradeline, “PAYETTE Brews Its Own Software to Solve Complex Planning Problems” looks at several of these tools.

The open source Glazing and Winter Comfort Tool, developed by PAYETTE’s Building Science Group, evaluates thermal comfort. Because building operations comprise a significant part of any client’s budget, and sustainability and carbon reduction are also prime concerns, maximizing building operational efficiency makes for a two-fold win. The article also discusses tools developed by our Space Strategies Group that synthesize information and give it meaning, establishing clear strategies for master plans and projects that link analysis to design solutions.
Each year, PAYETTE embarks on a collaborative effort to make our design services accessible to local communities through the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. This year, we celebrated our 8th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service by partnering with 7 local nonprofits:
