We are pleased to announce that we’ll be guiding UNC Charlotte in the programming, planning and design services for the school’s new science building supporting the University’s mission of providing STEM interdisciplinary, instructional and research space.
Our teaming with Clark Nexsen and R. G. Vanderweil provides the full range of talent and experience needed to execute this project at the highest level. The combination of Clark Nexsen’s extensive knowledge of UNC Charlotte and our exemplary work in designing award winning science buildings gives us the ability to deliver an innovative interdisciplinary science center that meets the aspirations and goals of the University.

The 2025 OpenLAB Boston studio work will be exhibited at Virginia Tech Monday, March 2nd through Wednesday, March 4th.

This year’s studio identifies seven sites along the frayed edges of Boston’s Greenway. The Greenway is a one-mile-long linear park running through the heart of the city, reconnecting downtown Boston with its waterfront. Many of the parcels along its edges remain undeveloped and present mute, blank facades to the public realm. Addressing and repairing these edges through acts of infilling, layering, grafting, framing, and placemaking is the core focus of the studio—SUTURE.
