PAYETTE is proud to announce Kristyn Hill and her co-designers, Team D.C., swept the Mannington Commercial Design Local competition. After weeks of voting, Team D.C.’s entry, On the Grid emerged as the winner. Their design will become a full carpet and LVT collection to be showcased at NeoCon 2013.
Of their entry, the team wrote, “Maps, signs and graphic representations break up the streets into a city that is remarkably well-laid out into quadrants, grid systems and traffic circles. Very orderly. At the same time, the fact that the city is so walkable and boasts one of the best public transportation systems in the world makes this mapping very human, because people are bringing layers of experience to the city, at all hours of day and night. In fact, none of the six team members own a car; all rely on public transportation, pedal and foot-power to travel to work and play.”
Congratulations to Kristyn and the team!
