Boston Children’s Hospital is growing. We are pleased to announce we have been selected by Boston Children’s Hospital to design the Waltham Inpatient Building. The project is an opportunity to change the shape and functionality of the Waltham campus.
Design is underway for both the Waltham campus and expansion on the hospital’s Longwood campus, which will be designed by Shepley Bulfinch. Part of the design process includes a full-scale mock-up in the form of a “cardboard city,” which allows users and designers learn what elements work and what do not. Both projects took advantage of these simulations and continue to evolve design.
We are pleased to continue our relationship with Boston Children’s Hospital following the completion of the Mandell Building.
Both the cardboard city and the hospital’s expansion were covered by Boston publications last week.
