Xuancheng joined PAYETTE in 2020 after working with REX and Allied Works in New York. Xuancheng is a wonderful collaborator and has brought an authentic voice and sense of “newness” to explorations on the projects he works on. His abundant passion, design skill and rigor are evident in recent PAYETTE signature buildings for the Ragon Institute of Mass General Brigham, MIT and Harvard, the Life Science Building at Johns Hopkins University and FM’s new corporate headquarters.
Xuancheng was also a major contributor to the University of Chicago Quantum Design Competition and was the day-to-day design leader for a life sciences project in San Diego with IQHQ. In addition to his project work, Xuancheng is passionate about mentoring young architects and has been an instructor in PAYETTE’s OpenLAB Studio for the past two years.
