Nick joined PAYETTE in 2007 and has become an integral voice across much of PAYETTE’s signature academic science portfolio. With a focus on undergraduate campuses, Nick is a leader in both the planning, design and execution of bespoke communities for science. As a Project Manager, Nick stewards documents and team organization, setting an example for their rigor, invention in technique and precision. As a colleague to clients and contractors alike, Nick is an unflappable force instilling confidence and warmth in everything he does.
Nick’s early portfolio includes projects at Georgetown, UMass Amherst, Princeton and Wesleyan Universities. More recently he led the science programming, planning and execution for the New Science Center at Amherst College. Nick also assumed the multi-pronged role of Project Manager, Science Lead and Job Captain for Lafayette’s Rockwell Integrated Sciences Center, guiding that project to significant design and sustainable award success. Since 2019, Nick has been leading all phases of the Wesleyan Science Center projects from programming and master planning through the design and construction of both the New Science Building and the Shanklin Hall Renovation.
His unique skills as a mentor, collaborator and partner for our teams, consultants and clients continue to be significant assets for the firm. Outside of project work, Nick has provided meaningful direction for PAYETTE’s drawing standards, the Revit Leadership Group and the Science and Construction Forum.
