Civil Engineering, the magazine of the American Society of Civil Engineers took an in-depth look at how the campus site of Boston University’s Center for Integrated Life Sciences and Engineering will encourage interdisciplinary research. The facility, located on Commonwealth Avenue, will be home to scientists and engineers from different disciplines, but researching common topics. The building’s prominent location along Commonwealth Avenue allows it to become a beacon to the university’s science departments. Though the site is prominent, the building is designed as a simple, but elegant box. Kevin Wilcox interviewed, Charlie Klee, one of the Principals-in-Charge on the project.
