Last fall Payette competed in Canstruction Boston 2012 and received the People’s Choice Award. The theme was “Fun and Games” and we decided to construct a classic than a slinky. Canstruction held over 50 build events internationally last year and all of the People’s Choice Award winners from each competition is now in the running to win the International People’s Choice Award.

We`re wrapping up World Landscape Architecture Month with a peak into the design of the XiangYa Fifth Hospital at Central South University.
The XiangYa Fifth Hospital will provide a new world class model for the delivery of healthcare in China, accommodating over 100,000 patients a day and housing over 2,500 patient rooms. Nature is further embedded into the superstructure through gardens, courtyards, roof terraces, light monitors and generous windows that provide abundant natural light and frame views of the natural setting surrounding the building.
