Miep joined Payette in 2008 following her graduation from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Architecture. Since joining the firm she worked on the Harvard Art Museums project with Renzo Piano Building Workshop for 5 years, became a licensed Architect, and is now working on a renovation at Columbia University for the Institute for Data Science and Engineering (IDSE). Her work on the AIA Upjohn Grant Report on the Thermal Performances of Facades has expanded her passion for exterior wall strategy. Miep is a native of the Netherlands and loves traveling, playing tennis, all art/craft projects and especially loves going on multi-day hikes.

As a design process, accessibility allows for the explicit consideration of people with disabilities in product design, software design, web interface development and architecture. The design characteristics include facilitating independence for people with a variety of disabilities and emphasizing safety.
