
Michael first joined Payette in 1994 and his design contributions span both academic and healthcare typologies from programming through construction. As Project Architect and Manager, he has led projects at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Seoul National University, Tulane University, West Virginia University and the award-winning Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute. Michael received his B.Arch. with honors and the AIA school medal from Carnegie Mellon University in 1994. Michael has taught design studios at the Boston Architectural College and Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he is a frequent critic. He founded Payette’s Grassroots Green sustainability initiative, speaks frequently at industry conferences and leads several research initiatives.
