PAYETTE President, Kevin Sullivan, was recently highlighted in the Harvard Graduate School of Design article, “Leading Through Practice.” The article focuses on two GSD alumni from the same class who are leading architectural practices in Boston.
Kevin often credits his foundation at the GSD for his interest in educating future architects in both practice and academic models. Kevin’s work explores the relationship between architectural practice, pedagogy and design research. Through projects including the Northeastern University Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex, the Ragon Institute at MIT, and Land’s Sake Farm, he advances an approach in which form, performance, material and construction operate as interdependent systems shaping a coherent architectural whole.
Kevin has served as Affiliated Professor in Practice at Virginia Tech since 2020 and previously taught as a Design Critic in Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
