Oscar joined PAYETTE in 2023 as a Designer, working from early concept development through focused envelope design on numerous science and healthcare projects for clients such as Salem State University and White Plains Hospital, as well as participating in several design competitions. Oscar moves ideas from concept to execution with clarity, bringing a critical eye to performance, constructability and detail.
Oscar has also increased the firm’s visibility through strategic storytelling and article placements that amplify PAYETTE’s ethos, culture and mission. Oscar brings over a decade of experience across the US and Latin America where he led his own practice in Nicaragua. In 2017, he received recognition from Domus Magazine as one of Central America’s emerging voices. His work has been exhibited internationally, most recently at the 2025 Versailles Biennale of Architecture and Landscape and the 2025 Chicago Architecture Biennial. Oscar is currently the Studio Coordinator for OpenLAB.
