Jim joined PAYETTE as Director of Finance in 2001 and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2018. He is a Certified Design Accountant with over 30 years of experience in the A/E/C industry. With his ability to see the big picture and pragmatically solve problems, Jim has implemented budget and project tracking tools that equip Project Managers with the kind of detailed information they require to make each project a financial success. At the outset of his career, Jim worked for large organizations and determined he prefers the conviviality of a smaller firm. In his role at PAYETTE, Jim works with Principals and Project Managers on all financial aspects of each project, which allows him to bring his vast knowledge of finance to PAYETTE’s design teams. While the size of PAYETTE was an initial draw for Jim, the firm’s focus on its projects, design philosophy and work environment are what keep him here.
