Adare Specialty Hospital

The hospital is conceived as a series of "Pavilions in a Garden," a modern composition which uses scale and materiality to reinforce the natural characteristics of the Adare landscape. The pavilions work to scale down the hospital complex and shape distinct outdoor spaces that define the main entrance and several garden areas for patients, family, and staff. The complex is also defined by a distinct geometry to maximize site lines from the patient spaces to the surrounding landscape. The three pavilions contain outpatient clinics and two med-surg patient towers. Oriented along a spine, D&T and urgent care functions are located opposite the pavilions and run the full length of the facility.
