This new facility combines new research laboratories and animal holding rooms, and provides a new clinical wing for activity-based rehabilitation of spinal cord injury and Multiple Sclerosis patients. The center enables a new synergy between research and clinical functions, combining bench-based research, clinical trials, development of techniques and protocols for new therapies, and new advances in locomotors functions. The new building, attached to an existing laboratory building, features a rehabilitation room, a unique environment for comprehensive rehabilitation therapy with ample natural light, views of the courtyard, and opportunities for social interaction between patients.
