The new medical library at Children’s Hospital was designed to provide a quiet contemplative space for the medical staff as well as for parents of hospitalized children. The medical library is a new one-story, 6,200 SF building which houses 2,500 medical volumes and 4,500 journals. It establishes a comprehensive research forum and combines the libraries of various departments into one location. Accessible on a 24-hour basis, the library provides for computer indexing and referencing from a variety of on-line services.
