B-Wing

The School of Medicine needed to add approximately 8,000 NSF to the existing B-Wing for the expansion of the pharmacology department. The program consists of laboratories, support space, offices and conference rooms and the chairman’s suite. The existing building, designed in the Georgian Revival style in 1930, is a five story complex that has been added to and renovated many times. Payette Associates’ solution was to build the B-Wing extension over an existing loading dock, completing a major entry courtyard to the complex from South Frontage Road.
