Library Addition & Classroom Connector

Furthering the traditions of this small, North Shore secondary school, the firm’s efforts have focused on master planning and an assessment of the school’s current and projected needs. The primary focus is on the addition to the existing library. A “classroom connector” is planned for increased classroom and student interaction space. The proposed library addition necessitates the approximately 2,000 SF found between the existing library and the cafeteria. An existing stone wall will provide the building base, while the windows will continue the porch-like style of the “Main House.” The addition’s facade curves outward providing a pleasant view onto the lake and surrounding landscape.
