The Center for Biotechnology and Life Sciences (CBLS) at the University of Rhode Island will be the centerpiece of both the University's and state's effort to stimulate economic growth and workforce development in biotechnology and life sciences. Furthermore, this building will be the anchor project for the development of the North District of URI's Kingston Campus, identified as the area for the future concentration of the sciences including programs for pharmacy, chemistry, physics and health sciences.
