Chemistry Research and Life Sciences Bldgs.

This complex is a rich combination of classrooms and research laboratories. An above-grade connection forms a “gateway to the sciences,” which houses a range of common meeting spaces for formal and informal gatherings and is the centerpiece of the complex. The plan is organized around a glass, east-west spine connecting the buildings. The Life Sciences Building contains animal research, neurosciences, toxicology, and plant research, while the Chemistry Building contains facilities for synthetic chemistry, biochemistry, instrumentation, and mass spectroscopy.
